Thank you to APTN InFocus and host Darrell Stranger for having me on their episode that highlighted the importance of Indigenous youth organizing. I was one of 4 folks interviewed for this and was honoured to talk about the importance of language, We Need Everyone and what I mean when I say revolution!

How do we organize the awesomest event in our community? Over the years I have learned about something I’m calling the 5 C’s. This week I shared with those who attended the virtual Annual General Meeting of North End Community Renewal Corporation that we have been in conversation with the owners of the building (the University of Manitoba) to see what we can do. Our next step is going to be setting up a community committee!

It is a hard thing to do to create a call to action that resonates with what you are trying to accomplish and rouses the community to action. Happy organizing out there and remember: celebrate, celebrate and celebrate!
