Winnipeg Election Night With Michael

Oct 27

Can you believe it is already time to announce the results of the Winnipeg municipal election? Well, at 8pm on Wednesday October 28th…it will be!

Election campaigns are long and difficult, candidates and voters are exhausted by the end so let me congratulate all involved on doing their part! To all candidates, thank you for putting your name forward! For all the voters, thank you for sharing your democratic voice. To future voters, or those who chose on purpose no to vote, I hope we can get to the place where you feel like your vote and your voice matters in the future. I have been posting short videos on my social media accounts called Winnipeg Wednesday once a week to try and educate folks about how elections work and also to encourage voter turnout. I have also supported some community groups and organizations to host forums and even appeared on an election related podcast! I hope it is clear from my actions that I think it is really important for us to get out there and vote.

All of the fun begins at 8pm CT and can be seen of course on CTV News but also on their YouTube page as well as on Crave!
