Be A Better Settler

Yes, this is a pencil drawn portrait!

"Be a Better Settler" art show by L. Zastre features many thoughtful and beautiful pieces. So much care was put into both the content of the show as well as making the show as accessible as possible.

I'm so honoured to be part of this awesome project with artist Lani Zastre (instagram: @L.Zastre_art) where she interviews and hand sketches a number of Indigenous folks in the community. I also answered a question of what I would like to see happen in terms of how non Indigenous people can live together with Indigenous peoples. I think you'll all be shocked to hear that I hoped for a good life, a family and safety for everyone; a life where we don't hurt each other, the planet or ourselves. I can't wait to see all the other folks connected to this project when it all comes out next year. I am beyond amazed at this hand sketched portrait, they are so talented  Thanks for sharing your gift and this opportunity with me Lani!
