Support Local: St John’s Edition Jane’s Walk

Join speaker, author, and community organizer Michael Redhead Champagne on a guided 1 hour tour of the vibrant north end neighbourhood of St. John's. Here participants will explore the history of the local community, identify historical buildings, and explore open businesses.

Supporting local businesses in our city is important for a variety of reason. North End has confronted poverty and created employment opportunities throughout its changing history in large part because of those businesses. One of the local businesses is 100 years old, another is 1 year old. This walk will foster a discussion on how we can ensure that homegrown businesses that are starting today can endure 100 years into the future.

Meeting place is Inkster & Main (adjacent to Modern Coffee at 191 Inkster). Walk Leader will be wearing bright coloured clothing and has noticeably long curly hair.
